The AI in Health Coalition, together with the DZP Law Firm, has prepared a regulatory report "The use of medical data for the development of AI in Poland and for scientific research. Legal determinants of access to and quality of medical data".
The prepared analysis answers the following questions:
- What are the legal conditions (especially opportunities and barriers) related to access to medical data in Poland for scientific research (including R&D and development of AI algorithms)?
- What actions (legislative, regulatory and other) should be taken to increase access to and quality of medical data in the context of processing for scientific research and AI development?
We hope that the report's conclusions will be useful in constructing sectoral policies for the development of artificial intelligence in the health sector, as well as in legislative, regulatory and administrative work on improving access to and quality of medical data in Poland.
